"Expect Victory" is the well known battle cry of the Gary Barnett era Wildcats; a mantra continued today by Coach Fitz. "Victory Right" is, of course, the most recognizable single play in Northwestern Football history; capping off a 21-point comeback at Minnesota in 2000. "Expect Victory Right" is what Northwesten fans have become accustomed to as followers of the Cardiac Cats; another Victory Right game could happen any given saturday. It is also a nod to how Coach Fitz is dedicated to winning the "Right" way.

Abbreviated National Preview

I had planned to post a National Preview today, but I would be remiss if I did not post about the Big Ten Division alignment. I also have to do my real job, as much as I would love to write about football all day. I will try to get in a post about the new Big Ten, along with a certain 15-year anniversary, later today.

So here is an abbreviated National Preview with Conference winners and BCS Bowl Predictions:

Big Ten: Ohio State

SEC: Florida; Championship Game: Florida v. Auburn

Big 12: Texas; Championship Game: Texas v. Nebraska

Pac 10: Oregon

Big East: Pitt

ACC: Virginia Tech; Championship Game: VA Tech v. Clemson

Mountain West: TCU

WAC: Boise State

MAC: Northern Illinois; Championship Game: NIU v. Kent State

Conf. USA: Houston; Championship Game: Houston v. Southern Miss



Rose Bowl: Ohio State v. Oregon

Sugar Bowl: Auburn v. Iowa

Fiesta Bowl: Boise v. Nebraska

Orange Bowl: VA Tech v. Pitt

National Championship: Texas v. Florida
